Bismillah
So I was reading a post from a friend of a friend and I thought I'd post one too (with a little bit of difference).
The original post was about alternative life plans that would or could have happened if you took a different course in life. For my post I'd rather look forward so I'll be posting about my current life options (I have so many that I'd practically would love to do all of them). So I'll arrange them according to the most likely (and short term dreams) to the most unlikely (or long term dreams).
Here we go:
1. ACCA - This will occur in a period of 1 year. I'm just waiting for ACCA website to stop being such a rotten eggyolk and let me upload my qualifications. Then I'd need to register for my classes. I'm thinking of MIA and company secretary qualifications as well but ACCA comes first (don't ask me why).
2. Work for my dad - Technically I am working for my dad already but not officially. I don't get salary nor am I given proper jobs. Just some random PA jobs and paperwork.
3. Work as freelance translator - I still haven't applied for any job but will do it once I'm done registering for ACCA (and completing my resume). I'm not overly confident in my Bahasa Melayu but I'm brushing up. Did you know "website" is not "laman web" it's "laman sesawang". I laugh inside everytime I hear this.
4. Go KOREA for a 2 month part time job at a farm - Oh gosh I really want to do this. Maybe in 2 years coz I need cash first. I need at least RM3k to get there and for some early expenses. I'd get accommodations and food so I won't need to worry about that. Language would be a problem but I guess the programmes they conduct would have someone who's at least able to speak english... right?
5. Study overseas with Adibah - I was wondering whether to categories this as the least likely because she's probably already going to go in 1 year or less but I'll still put it in the middle of the list because on the off chance I might get to study with her. I'd probably take masters but I would love to do something related to psychology. I'd love to study in Japan or Korea but then there's the language barrier and the fact adibah is dreaming of the English countryside (either way I don't mind).
6. UMRAH/HAJI - Will do it after 3 - 5 years of stable income. This will depend on whether I have enough cash or not. hahaha
7. Open own publishing company - This is my real dream but I had to put it at the bottom part of the list because it will take a longer time to achieve (that and the possibility that books will not exists in the future. Damn those e-books). To achieve this I'll find work with any current publishing companies. I'd also like to publish my own books and own my own bookstore. Yes, this dream almost all bookworms would have. I know coz I'm a worm, a bookworm.
8. Have my own homestay farm in Kundasang/Ranau - This is also a long-term dream of mine. Buying land will become more expensive in the future so I'll need a lot of cash. This will probably be my retirement plan. Lands there would cost around 200k and above. That's a lot of cash. Plus I'll need to consider cost for land clearing as well as renovation and construction. Homai.
9. Open Audit firm - This was suggested by my dad and I was a little bit interested. There isn't any Islam audit firm in KK and I thought that I have a duty to open one. This is least likely and long term as well (due to all the required qualifications needed.) However for this I might need to get work with an audit firm and the only place I can find an Islam audit firm would be in semenanjung. If this plan is to commence I'll need to stay in semenanjung for at least 3 years.
10. Open Cafe with mum - This was a plan for my mother's retirement. She loves the restaurant but the restaurant we have now belongs to my grandad. Should she retire she would get bored easily at home so I thought if we open a cafe it'd be awesome. This is only possible if she wants it and is thus on the last on my list.
Well I've listed the current dreams that I have. I hope they'd all come true. InsyaAllah. Wish me the best yeah.
Alhamdulillah
