Bismillah
Today my shoe got stolen. I was angry and deep down I admit I was trying to tell myself to let it go. But instead I felt this nagging feeling that my shoe is nearby. So I walked around my floor checking every room (at the same time making sure my friends did not lose their shoes as well). Then I thought 'maybe the cleaners took it'.
The fact is, I'm not a person that likes to judge people working and honestly earning their living.
So instead of brain-beating myself to stop accusing the cleaners, I went to check up on their things under the staircase. The cleaners usually put their mops/brooms/buckets and etc under the staircase. Under one staircase I saw a familiar black sandal. I went to Tyrah's room to ask her if she lost her shoe.
How surprised I was to find out that the sandal I saw was in fact hers! However, Tyrah said her shoe was already broken and she didn't mind if they took hers.
So with new determination, I went to another staircase to search for my sandals. I found my sandals hidden in a basket under some plastic bags.
I'm happy and at the same time disappointed to find out that they would stoop so low to stealing my sandal.
I'm just thankful I got my sandals back. From now on, my shoes stay inside the room.
Alhamdulillah
