Prophet Muhammed (Sall Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said :
"If you love someone, do not quarrel with him and do not annoy him. Do not ask others about him, for the one you ask might be his enemy and thus tell you things about him that are not true and thus break you apart."

I can't stand hearing gossip... Although I admit I'm prone to them as well.
I usually slip my tongue around my closest friends and family because I trust them so well that I always forget not to gossip. It seems that lately I've been hearing so much gossip around me. I usually put my music full blast in order to avoid listening but what saddens me is that the gossip seems to be about someone I know and apparently the gossip contradicts everything i know about this someone.
In order to protect myself and my sanity, I've resorted to music but sometimes people have a tendency to talk very loud.
My anger is one thing I've been working on these couple of years and when I hear gossip from people I'm not close with regarding the people I AM close (or rather close) to is somewhat aggravating.
God grant me patience and protect me from doing the same (ie. gossiping).
